Had Myself A Merry Little Christmas
How was your Christmas? Mine was petty awesome. I spent a lot of time down town getting some gifts for out of town friends.
Christmas at Pike market is always a hit for my out-of-town quests.
Every neighborhood has their own way of decoration.
Some of it is classical.
Some like to decorate the statue of Lenin in the middle of Fremont.
And some of it, well, some of it is just plain creepy.
I also took Bug to see Santa. That went over well.
Don’t worry the giant bear made seeing Santa less painful. While there we also donated toys for a 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy to the Rotary club. R demanded, er, I mean suggested Legos for the boy. I go the girl an Ariel doll and a few other things. When Bug saw the doll she fell in love. You could see it on her face. Santa brought one for her as well.
We also took Bug on her first merry-go-round. Each time the horse went down she screamed “WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!”
It wasn’t all fun and games around here. We had to do some work as well. The elves came out to help.
On Christmas morning Bug found her gifts and set to work carrying them around. It took a few tries to show her how opening gifts work, but she got the hang of it and decided that R and I could use a little help with our gifts.
How was your Christmas? What did you do this year.
